Cirque d'Zan

Ca' d'Zan is a beautiful mansion in Sarasota, Florida. It is a historical home that was once a residence of circus mogul John Ringling. The mansion is known for its elaborate designs.

Ca' d'Zan is located on the waterfront of Sarasota Bay. When it was first constructed in the mid-1920s, the house cost $1.5 million. The building was designed by Dwight James Baum, a New York architect.

Mable Ringling's husband, John, was a successful capitalist. He bought a 20-acre waterfront property in Sarasota and began construction on the mansion. They completed the mansion before Christmas 1926. During the Great Depression, Ca' d'Zan was in a state of disrepair. A makeover was given to the mansion in 1947 by Chick Austin, a Ringling employee.

 

John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art

The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Florida is the State Art Museum of Florida. It is located on a beautiful 66-acre estate along the Intracoastal Waterway.
